Google is embedding post-quantum cryptography into Android 17 as part of a broader shift toward quantum-resistant security ahead of its 2029 migration target. The update introduces NIST-standardized ML-DSA support in Android Keystore and hybrid APK signing, strengthening both device trust and app integrity against future quantum threats.
