The changes focus on improving processing efficiency, prioritizing high-impact vulnerabilities, and scaling operations as submissions surge. NIST aims to reduce backlogs and deliver faster enrichment data, acknowledging that rising CVE volume has outpaced traditional workflows and requires more automation and refined prioritization.
