Study Finds AI-Generated Malware Overhyped and Ineffective

A recent analysis of multiple AI-generated malware samples revealed that, despite growing hype, such threats remain rudimentary and ineffective in real-world conditions. The code lacked persistence, evasion, and lateral movement capabilities, making it easily detectable by standard security tools. Researchers concluded that traditional malware techniques still pose the greater risk, and current AI-assisted attacks do not yet represent a significant leap in sophistication or danger.
