 Recent research indicates that advanced deepfakes are now capable of replicating subtle physiological signals, such as heartbeats, making them more challenging to detect. These deepfakes unintentionally retain heartbeat patterns from their source videos, which can be detected using remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) technology.
