Symmetric Cryptography Innovations for a Post-Quantum Future

Researchers at Cavero Quantum have developed a novel cryptographic system designed to enhance data security in the forthcoming quantum computing era.

Their approach utilizes symmetric keys in two distinct ways: one based on computational complexity, and the other leveraging information-theoretical methods through the properties of random numbers.

This technique enables the mutual generation of keys between parties without the need for public sharing, thereby mitigating the risk of interception by threat actors.

This advancement addresses concerns related to "harvest now, decrypt later" attacks, where adversaries collect encrypted data now to decrypt in the future using quantum capabilities
